Straw Revolution

Wherever you go, take your New Mexico Passport with you.
Straw bale home, outbuildings, solar panels, and dog.

Straw Revolution is Robert Hayes and Beverly Antaeus. We live a long way down a dirt road with no name -- the few cars that go by belong out here. We make all our electricity from the sun. The straw bale house is 100% passive solar and stays as warm or as cool as we want all year round. Neighbors are far enough away that coyotes (and our dogs) make the most noise. A great place for peace and star gazing.

We have also established a 501(c)3 non-profit animal sanctuary called Bridging The Worlds on adjacent land.

We connect to the Internet via high speed wireless (La Cañada Wireless), use both cellphones and VOIP, and have spent enough time off grid that we've seen and solved most every problem you can imagine. We can no longer recommend Starband as a viable option for remote Internet connection.
